• We also need you to write to the Planning team, Economic, Planning and Housing (EPH) Committee - and our MPs.  The latter are crucial.  Note:  Councillors cannot forward your correspondence to other parties.

• Please encourage as many people in Tadley and Pamber as possible to do the same - we can make a difference and STOP this proposal.

• This Outline Planning Application has been been made against massive public criticism and the lengthy and detailed process which removed the proposal from the draft Local Plan

Bewley Homes' have now made an Outline Planning Application despite massive public objection and having been removed from the draft Local Plan which went to Reg18 Consultation on 22nd January 2024.

• Essentially make your views known about the Outline Planning Application. Here  24/00349/OUT | Outline planning application for up to 245 homes (use class C3); a Convenience Store (use class E); vehicular access from Aldermaston Road (A340), and the provision of; cycle and pedestrian access, open space, landscaping, SuDS, and other associated infrastructure. • NB.  *The Manydown development site (situated off Roman Road, Winklebury) was purchased by the council 30 years ago, with the specific intention of building social housing here, on a new purpose-built estate (3,520 homes) - with main roads and connections to the A339 Ring Road, local services and healthcare amenities, a school - and proper transport links and bus routes.)  (See: Manydown (basingstoke.gov.uk, also Manydown Garden Communities shaping great places - Home (manydownbasingstoke.co.uk). 

• It is essential, therefore, that we mobilise NOW and as many people as possible voice their collective opposition to the Skates Lane proposal.

• There are many other speculative development plans around south and west Tadley. All of them should be stopped before they start. e.g 70 dwelling south of The Green with an access road onto A340 opposite Manse Lane
