The Local Plan must act as the blueprint for responsible development. It dictates where and how new constructions take shape and needs to ensure that our environment remains a priority. But it needs your input!
The draft Local Plan Reg18 for Spatial Strategy will be published for 8 weeks public consultation on Friday 28th November 2025. This follows on from amendments by having the housing number mandatory target increased by circa 40%

Skates Lane removed from the draft Local Plan by B&DBC "due to it's inaccessibility and distance from facilities and impacts on settlement character, biodiversity and heritage". Bewley have now put in an updated Outline Planning Application.
